Wedding Pictures

Yesterday my sister was married!

That makes 3 out of 4 sisters married, and half of my parent's kids! Crazy.

You can take a sneak peak at some pictures that Mandi and Whitney took of my sisters wedding!
I am so excited to see more of them...especially the ones of my kids.

...and the bride and groom. :)

Bridal Shower #2

Bridal shower in Orinda!
To be honest, I don't know many of these women...and I was expecting it to be really boring. But it was so much fun! The setting was beautiful, the treats were delicious, and we spent the whole night laughing and smiling. I am still mad that I didn't take a picture of the backyard because it looked like a setting from a Shakespeare festival.

Anyway, I was commissioned to be the scribe...

So, I put Alex in charge of taking pictures...
Here she is with Sydney, Cade's little sister.

Morgan told the Story of her and Cade.
It really could be a movie! Drama, Comedy, and Morgan falling and tripping and crying a lot.

Morgan didn't know that Cade was going to come out and tell HIS version of their story!
He did a good job. Although they argued a little over who dated more people.

Then came the gifts...

These napkins Morgan is holding (below) say...
"Because Chocolate can't get you pregnant!"

I was jealous over this adorable french looking apron and mugs with "C" and "M".

Cade's grandma Hazel was so funny. She gave Morgan two gifts. One in nice wrapping paper and one wrapped in newspaper. The nice one had a beautiful silk robe. The newspaper one she said reflected what it was wrapped in...and Morgan said "You mean it's trashy?" We all laughed.

Then when she opened a blue and black tiger print feathered robe, (with matching eye patch that Morgan is displaying) we all laughed harder!

The End!

Bridal Shower #1

Shannon, has been a family friend for so long. I only wish she was a family friend when I had been married because she is the most AMAZING party thrower and hostess. Not to mention that everything that she cooks melts in your mouth, and looks like it should too! She makes everything look like it came from a catalog. She threw a bridal shower for Morgan in Danville, and it was so much fun to see everyone reunited from when my parents lived there a few years ago!

My mom's friend McLean got a hot little new red car!
How could we resist taking a picture of the sista's?

Morgan got so many great presents, but what was so much fun was that a lot of them were unique and personalized for her and Cade!

Uh Oh...naughty.

Not so Naughty...

That's the end...Hollah!
(Sorry mom, I don't know what you were saying in this picture!)

First Day of School!

Here are our big girls ready for the first day of school in front of our new door. :)

Backpacks and all!

Kadie was lucky enough to get the SAME teacher as last year for the kinder/first grade combo class. We really just love Mrs. Young. Kadie was so excited to be a first grader and be able to help the kindergartners this year!

Here is Miss Lori's preschool! Kadie went here for 2 years, and Miss Lori did such an amazing job we were so happy for Laney to get the chance to go too. I was a nervous wreck for the three hours she was gone. I get anxiety over what Laney is capable of and what "could" happen.
But she is great! And she didn't have a bathroom accident!

Say Cheese!

This is so Laney. She shared her stickers from preschool with Crew.
If it had been Kadie at 3 1/2 years, she would have lined them up neatly on Crewser's shirt.

Hide and Seek...

It was 11:30 at night and I had just checked on Crewser because he is really cute. :)
When I looked in the girls room to turn off the light and close the door a little...Laney was not in her bed! I went down stairs and Josh hadn't seen her...

New house, more places to hide. Can you spot what's under the bed?

It took about 10 minutes to find her. Fast asleep.

Moving from...

This is where we USED to live, and what it looked like while packing...

3 bed 2 bath, 1200 square feet.
It actually was an awesome place to live pre-3 kids. Once Crew was born we were feeling the itch to move into something that didn't have some one living above us
(noisy), below us (afraid we are being too noisy) and on each side!

I realize now that I HATE moving and I hope we don't have to do it for a very long time!

Also, I got new boots!

Blog?

I can't believe how busy life has been the last 2 weeks!

We moved...
School (and preschool) started...
A sister was married...

I think a few blog posts are due. :)
Stay tuned.

we are moving...Moving...MOVING!!!

We are moving TOMORROW! I am so tired and worn out from packing...but it doesn't hold back my feelings of excitement AT ALL. I am so excited!

I am optimistic that it will only take me about a year to unpack everything...we have waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much stuff. Or I should say, the girls have too much stuff! I think I might leave a few boxes in the garage and then wrap them at Christmas time and put them under the tree. Do you think I could get away with that? Ya, probably not with Kadie. :)

I made sure to put important things in one place (so I don't loose them like I lost my Wicked ticket - thank you again Kirsten and Ben!). Like Registration papers for Kadie, car keys, my wallet, and mascara.

Crew...4 months old

Crew one week old

One month

Two Months

Three months

Four months

The four month marker has been so much fun!
There are so many little things about Crew that are starting to show his personality.
He already gets his feelings hurt... I swear. He will be a sensitive little guy like his sister Kadie. :) He rubs the back of his hair with his left hand when he is tired. He sucks on his fingers ALWAYS, smiles his giant smile all of the time, and laughs when Laney and Kadie make faces at him. I think he will be a food lover like Laney, he stares at my dinner when I eat and whines when I don't give him a taste. He is also very wiggly, and this picture was hard to take...see below what he went through to get one with out him falling over.

My favorite thing is the bond I already seen between him and Josh. If he even hears a hint of Josh's voice, his eye's light up and he starts cooing. It is the sweetest thing.

Hair

A couple days ago I was brushing Laney's long blonde hair and thinking how soft and pretty it was. I had just trimmed it a couple of weeks ago and I decided that it would be so much fun to let it get even longer with her little ringlets.

This is the most recent picture I have of Laney's (used to be) long hair...
I know you will love this picture all of you. :)

Did you catch that I wrote "used to be" hair? Yes that is correct.
This was what I found this afternoon...only a lot more than what I am holding.

First I got red and huffy...then I almost started to cry.
It was like the time I went and got my hair cut at supercuts,
and ended up with one side a whole inch shorter than the other.
I am still sad about it.

(Plus Morgan's wedding is coming up and now I can't do Laney's hair up. Sad. )

I had to be careful not to cut it too short, there are still a lot of pieces that are only about 2 inches long all over, but they kind of look like layers.

Here. Is. The. Culprit!!!
Those dimples are trouble I am telling you!

All in all, I think it turned out okay.
Hair grows.

Sneaky

Laney has tried before, but not succeeded at climbing in Crew's crib.

Last week Laney wanted to play dolls. When I asked her to go get her baby doll so we could play together, naturally I should have realized she may try to get Crew.

At least he stayed asleep!

Birthday Girl

I can't believe that I am already 20! Time flies.

Well, I tried to fool you. I guess my having a 7 year old daughter makes that hard to believe. I am 28. 28! I remember watching My Best Friends Wedding with Julia Roberts years ago and thinking that 28 seemed so old for them to be. I swear I still feel young, and the closer I get to 30 the more excited I get about life and living it. But I hate how time just seems to keep speeding up faster and faster with every passing year. If I could have asked for more time for my birthday I would have. My mom says she always wanted one day a week that no one else knew about but her, and now I know why. :)

I know as you get older everyone acts like birthdays don't matter too much, or that they don't care really if they get to do anything really cool. Then inside, these people (all of us adults...wink wink) are really hoping that at least one person will remember or call or bring something by.

I just have to thank ALL OF YOU, for making my birthday a good one and making me feel loved.
I really had a great day, and it did feel special!

Leisa :)

P.S. For my birthday I got breakfast, some peanut butter m&ms, bought a bunch of furniture on Craigslist, got some shoes, some delicious cookies, an adorable hand made pin cushion, some more shoes, a few phone calls, a shirt, another shirt, some birthday cards, and even some money. All from so many wonderfully thoughtful people that I love! I also got a sweet fridge and I can't wait to use it. If you clicked on the link let me tell you that Josh got an awesomely fantastic deal on this baby.
And for those of you that are wondering, we are RENTING a HOUSE and are in the process of moving, and it is the most exciting thing in the world!

Obama

I just found while looking on delias.com that I have the same birthday as Barack Obama.
What the ??? He can't share my special day!

I also know Ezra Taft Benson had the same birthday too, so I guess that neutralizes it.

You can go here to see what celebrities are born on the same day as you.
Unfortunately church leaders don't count as celebrities,
except in the Mormon world.

Josh has cool people like Lance Armstrong, no fair!
