Wyoming Trip - Day 2

We started off the day with Laney teaching the wooden man how to make silly faces. :)

The girls and Kassidy fed the horses lunch.

Kadie took a turn on a 4-wheeler just her size.

Kadie tried to teach Laney, but Laney got scared and it only lasted about 30 seconds.

So Laney got Daddy to take her for another ride in the Razor.

We went fishing later that afternoon at a FISH HATCHERY. Let me tell you this is the way to fish. You get a bite almost every time you throw your line in, and then you just throw the fish back once you reel him in! It was exciting.
Porter gave Kadie some pointers and helped her get a few bites.

More bottle rockets, and Laney decided they were too loud. She didn't like them much.

Laney claimed her favorite swing in the vegetable garden.
She spent a lot of time there over the next couple of days.

And so ends day two.

Wyoming Trip - Day 1

The Morgan Family Reunion...(Josh's moms side of the family)
It is more than half Waldron's now with all of Josh's siblings getting hitched.
We traveled to Star Valley (Afton) Wyoming this year.

Over 16 HOURS of driving with three little kids. It was quite the relief to finally get there. :)

Daddy took the girls on the Razor. :)

Kadie made some wishes...

We went for a ride to the Intermittent Springs for a hike.

Unfortunately they were closed. :)

That's about all for day one...
Later we just sat around and gabbed while the boys lit off hundreds of bottle rockets that night.

Grandma Laney

We just got back from a family reunion for Josh's extended family. On the way there we split up the loooooooong car ride with a few stops. One in Reno, we saw Ky and Mike and Skylar - but I didn't take any pictures. :(

We also stopped in Lehi Utah to visit my grandma Laney.

This is her cute little white house. She has lived there for 60 + years...the house of my Dad's childhood, and even a little bit of mine.

The same swing set my Dad used, we used as kids
...and now my own kids (and husband) can play on it!

Grandma, Kadie and baby Crew. As usual, Laney didn't want to be in the picture.

Who's who? Kylie and Leisa as kids...

My favorite picture of my grandpa Laney who recently passed away.

The good old Lehi Roller mills. Site of the famous Kevin Bacon dancing scene on footloose.

Sorry Dad, I HAD to post this picture. What a stud!

Dentist

Haven't been to the dentist for 5 years...
I went today and got a cleaning, but she scheduled me for a DEEP cleaning and apparently will have to numb my mouth at that appointment.
I also have my first cavity to be filled ever, and now I am really scared.

I won't go into detail about what Josh needs done...except it will cost about $3800 total.
More than one procedure, poor Joshy!

Advice to all: don't wait 5 years to go to the dentist just to save time and money.

R-E-N-O

My sister Kylie lives in Reno. I had never seen their house, so my mom and I went to her place over the weekend. I left the girlies with Josh, and just took Crew.

Here is Kylie, Mike and their cute baby girl Skylar (8 months old).
Mike served us women all weekend long, such a gentleman!

Cruiser with his cousin Skylar ,
they are about 6 months apart.

I was impressed that at only 2 months old, Crew was so nice to share his binki with Skylar.

We took a little trip to Target after lunch on Saturday, which by the way was pizza and Pizookie's from BJ's. MMMMmmmmmmmmm yummy.

My mom and I tried to ditch Mike and Kylie with both of the babies.
Don't they just look like the perfect family?

Skylar in her model mode. :)

Grammy got tons of smiles from Crew all weekend. It was so cute.
I felt like I was waiting FOREVER for Crew to start smiling and now he is doing it all of the time.

We just didn't know what to do with ourselves with out so many kids to take care of!
So we sat around looking at our toes.

This picture actually freaked me out...we were doing thumbs up with our toes.
I will probably regret posting this picture because our toes were freaking me out.

WHAT THE???
Oh, it must have been a full moon because I started to turn into a werewolf.
JUST KIDDING...obviously these are Mike's adorable feet.

Bye Bye RENO...until we meet again!
And thank you Ky and Mike for letting us crash at your cute house.
The food was great, and the company even better.

Last day of Kindergarten!

Friday June 11th, was Kadie's last day of Kindergarten. She is officially a first grader!
It was a sad day, but also an exciting one. It just made me realize how fast time goes and that I just want to enjoy being with her this summer. :)

The day was full of festivities, food and cute kindergarten friends.

Kadie made a few necklaces and crafts (her favorite thing).

Laney and Crew came along for the day too, and Laney got to do the limbo with Kadie.

Kadie and her little friend Izzy. Cute little girls aren't they?
Can you tell which one has lost almost all of her baby teeth?

Laney found this little doll house in one of the rooms and lined some teddy bears up by it.
I was stuck in the hall with my SUV stroller.

Here is Kadie's AMAZING teacher Mrs. Young.
She truly made this year the best it could have been, and I think she knew Kadie's strengths and weaknesses as good as me. She is lucky to have Mrs. Young again this next year because she was in a K-1 split class. Next year she will be one of the big First graders that gets to help the kindergartners. We can't wait to see her in September!
