Lucky Number Seven

Kadie Nicole Waldron is 7. Yes, seriously SEVEN years old!
I can not believe how much she has changed this year,
AND how much she has learned.
I am so glad that I kept a blog of it, because looking back is so much fun.

Kadie! Look at all you have done from July 2008 - July 2009...

Started Kindergarten
Got some cute glasses
Learned how to read
Lost your first tooth (followed by 6 more)
Climbed to the TOP at the climbing gym
Graduated Kindergarten
Memorized three articles of faith
Became a big sister again
Learned how to ride your two wheel bike

These are some of our favorite pictures of Kadie this last year as a big six year old...

I feel like 7 is so much older, I don't know why.
We love you so much Kadie and we are so proud of all you did this year!
Happy Birthday!

Extra Clean Laundry

Laney loves to help me with the laundry, and I occasionally lift her up to pour the soap in.

Usually I just let her help me throw the dirty clothes in, and sometimes I find extra blankets/shirts/toys when I change it into the dryer.

Yesterday Crew wore a new outfit that someone gave us as a late baby gift. The cutest outfit, one of my favorites! Orange and Blue plaid shorts and an adorable tiny polo shirt. He looked like a miniature teenage boy that smiles and coo's at his mama all day. I guess if it really were a teen that might be creepy but that isn't important.

What IS important is that Laney opened up the bleach (despite the tricky twisting that is supposed to keep toddlers out of such things) and poured the entire bottle into the washing machine that was full of two towels, one Winnie the pooh bear, and Crew's new outfit.

I threw Laney in the bathtub to rinse any bleach that was on her little arms and tummy, and I tried to salvage the outfit and just bleach the whole thing out. One of the towels (from our wedding 8 years ago) was not damaged in the entire process, and my fingers are blistered and red.

The favorite outfit just isn't as cute any more. :(

V-L-O-G

This is a vlog (video - blog) of a friend of a friend of my sisters.

This is the funniest and coolest videos I have seen in a while. I am guessing you will watch it more than once. Kadie and Laney loved it.

House

We are on the hunt for a HOUSE to rent, and we went and saw one today...
These were my favorite things about it:

1) FULL SIZE washer and dryer inside
2) Two car ATTACHED garage
3) No neighbors to share walls with
4) No wall to wall carpet, instead lovely real wood and granite floors
5) Enclosed yard (patio really - this is California)

No lease has been signed yet but still, we are looking and that is SO exciting!

Bummer...

After complaining to my sister about several things...I have decided that I complain too much.
I don't want to start off every conversation with a bummed out story. Maybe it will help me appreciate the things (and children) that I have already. :)

I would love to be done with the Bummer attitude, so we will see how it goes.

Taking the wheels off...

Kadie has been a little scared to say the LEAST...for the past year.
Her goal was to learn before she turned 7, and since July 31st is the first day she will be 7 years old, it was crunch time.

Look who lost her training wheels!

She started off a little wobbly...
but after about 10 minutes she was a pro!

Laney thought she would try to teach her scooter to ride by itself down the slide.

She even got going fast enough that her short hair cut was blowing behind her. :)

Laney's love of the swing + a bunny.
Where do you put your bunny when you have no pockets?

On the way home I asked her...
"Do you feel older Kadie?"
She said,
"Yes! I feel like I am 10 mom!"

Josh took the girls back later that night for some more bike riding because Kadie couldn't get enough. She just kept talking about how much fun it was to ride her bike.
She even crashed into a wall and just laughed about it. That's our girl!

Crew saying "Go Kadie! You're number 1!"

No Hitter

We went to a giants game Friday night to celebrate Natalie's birthday.
No she is not a huge baseball fan...so how did that happen? I have no idea...ask Josh and Steve.
Of course we will make up for it later with some girls "golfing" which is anything that we want to do that takes 5 hours or more :)

We ate too much pizza and candy, and gave a few hi-5's to the little boy in front of us.

It was just good luck that we ended up being there for Jonathan Sanchez to pitch a no hitter.
Do any of you women know what a no hitter is? Natalie and I do now and it was historic!

We were part of history in the making...

Crew boy

Our little Crew boy now follows us with his eyes where ever we go...

Can you spot his little dimples?
I just wanna squish him and squeeze him!

Scrunchy little boy :)

He just stares at the camera most of the time, so I can't get him to smile.
He is probably wondering why I am always covering up my face with the big black thing.

Crew...Three Months old

One week

One month

Two months

Three months!

No more pictures mom please!

The Babcock Family

My kids are starting to get so sick of me taking pictures of them. Sad.
So I offered to take some for Jessica and her cuter than cute family after I took these of Colby about a month ago.

The Family...

Thanks Jess...your family is adorable.

4th of July

This year we spent the 4th in Orinda at my parents house.
It was a perfect day filled with swimming, food and fireworks.
Also, the girls LOVED hanging with their cousins (my cousins actually)
because my mom's sister Cathy and her family were in town!

There were jumping contests...

Spray Tan - Tiger Style.
The fantastic artwork of my uncle Danny on my brother Nick. :)

Double Trouble...
Yes twin cousins! My twin cousins Sammy and Tylar.

The double twin Chicken fight.
Girls against boys...

Mom and Cathy

Cathy taught us how to make these FUN tee's. I will probably do a post about it later this summer. Such a great project!

After the swimming and tee shirt shenanigans...the fireworks began.
I was nervous because my parents have all of this dry brush all over their hillside.
Plus, Josh tried to blow me up on the 4th of July when we were dating.
A long and exciting story for another time. :)

Laney - our little brute. You'd think she would want to be a pyro like here Daddy.
She was actually really scared, but my Dad got her to hold one for 5 seconds or so.

Worst that happened...
A box caught on fire. No one was hurt.

Doesn't this guy just look like he wants to cause trouble?
I think everyone had fun with that Josh smuggled from Wyoming. :)

The End - no explosions, singed hair, or FBI investigation. I guess we could call that a success!

FYI - I SWEAR we saw a UFO on our way home from Orinda.
It was out the next night too around 9:00 or 9:15 p.m.
So weird.
