Sick Day

Kadie took her very first sick day of the year today.  She woke up at 4:00 in the morning and couldn't go back to sleep, and by 10:00 A.M. she had a temp of 101.  Poor Kadie was so bored all day lying around.  She was upset that she couldn't play with her friend who lives downstairs.

I also forgot that she inherited her Dad's sick day persona - a.k.a. any appendages like arms and legs don't work all day.  But I was happy to baby her a little.  It has been a while since I did that with her and it made me miss when she was little.

Luckily tonight she was feeling better...I think she will be back to school tomorrow. :)

Have you seen this man?

This man has been caught trying to impersonate my husband, Joshua Waldron.
He sometimes shows up late at night or very early in the morning when he knows Josh is probably still at work.

I have seen him often times with a beard, but most recently he has acquired a sorry looking mustache paired with a soul patch.  He is most likely smuggling energy drinks and possibly a calculator or laptop to various locations around the bay area.  Don't be alarmed...I doubt he is armed or dangerous.  He is obviously overworked, underpaid, and very confused.  Please let me know if you have seen him!?!?

There really is a baby coming...

It was so good to get my prego belly and think...
"Oh good I finally look pregnant so people will stop acting awkward around me" and I could finally feel the baby move and it seemed so much more real and exciting!

Now...there are a lot of days where I feel like it is lagging, and I will be pregnant for the rest of my life.  (Like days where Josh leaves before we wake up and comes home when we are asleep). Then there are those days few and far between where I think, "Wait a minute...there REALLY is a little baby BOY coming!  Diaper changing, midnight feedings, one less arm available to hold onto Laney when we walk across the street!"  Last weekend I realized that the big day is only 10 weeks away!  If I have him early like with the girls, then only 8 weeks away!

It felt a little less irritable about being pregnant, and a little more sentimental about spending these last 2 months with just me and the girls trying to have more fun together everyday.

I also thought it was finally time for some belly shots.  30 weeks down.

Josh took the pictures, and he kept making me laugh...
Unfortunately I have less room for laughter these days.

Sky Baby

Ky and Mike and their tiny-but-getting-bigger baby Skylar came down for Valentines Day/Presidents Day weekend.  I wish I would have taken more pictures, but I didn't. :(

Kadie LOVES Skylar...and I am excited that she does because I know she will be such a great helper with her baby brother who will be here before we know it!

Valentines Day Party at School!

Valentines Day was low key this year for us Waldron's.  But I did get to go to Kadie's school party, which was really fun for both of the girls. :)

Kadie chose out her Valentine's Day outfit.  Pink, Hot pink, and bright pink were her words I think.  She even had a pink heart necklace that she threw on to accessorize!

At school, there were crafts, treats, and games galore!

Even Laney got to make a "craft" which was mostly marker and glue that ended up on her shirt.

For some reason, Laney loves this little girl in Kadie's class.  She gives her a hi-5 everyday when we drop Kadie off.  Kadie's feelings were a little hurt when Laney sat by little miss "N" instead of by Kadie on the carpet for a story.

Here is Kadie with her more than awesome teacher.  This school year has been so much fun so far, and I can't believe kindergarten is already 1/2 way over!

I hope you all had a happy Valentine's Day!

Three Years Old!

Today, February 3, 2009 is Laney's 3rd birthday!
We celebrated a little early last Saturday!  We had a carnival-style party for her at her favorite "Spiderweb" park.

Can you believe that our little Laney used to be this small?  Sometimes I feel like she was just born a toddler!  Don't you just want to squeeze her?!?

Laney couldn't believe this party was for her!  She just soaked it all in.  The food, the bubbles, the food, the presents, the food...

Blowing giant bubbles with Grammy!  We went through more bubble's at this party full of toddlers than I think we have used in Laney's whole 3 years!

When I asked Laney what kind of food she wanted at her party, she said "Popcorn"!  Her favorite treat. :)  So we got creative and made cupcakes that looked like Popcorn.

After we sang Happy Birthday, and Laney blew out her candles, Kadie performed a puppet show for the kids while they ate their "popcorn"!

This was Laney's face when she realized that the presents were all for her!  All day she kept saying..."A party-a-me"?  "A-presents-a-me"?  She could hardly believe this was all for her!

Some of her presents were:
A parachute!

A tiny
Nintendog
that she took the liberty of pushing in the swing!

A T-ball set!
She tried it, but then Laney had more fun watching Brock hit the ball, and then chasing after it.

I think I see the face and form of a future softball star...
Perhaps even a pitcher!

And her very own
Plasma Car!

After such a fun party, who could blame her for crashing?
We love you Laney, Happy Birthday!

Afternoon Church

Top 5 reason afternoon church sucks:

5 - No naps.  Not that my children need them any other day of the week, but for some reason on Sunday, time catches up to Laney and she really needs one.
4 - Nursery.  Need I say more?  Well I will anyway.  10 - 12 kids crying because they are hungry...and TIRED.  I "get" to stay in their because I feel bad for the leaders having to deal with Laney crying.  Eh hem, I meant SCREAMING...like she is going to die kind of screaming.  Oh, and Laney is the biggest kid there and can easily get out on her own...so I don't really have a choice.  She follows me out anyway.
3 - No time for anything else but church.  We did get our scripture reading in before church, but I miss having the entire day as a family...it is one of the only days we get with Josh.
2 - You can't just not go.  Of course I feel like I don't get anything out of it.  I am more frustrated when I leave than uplifted.  But I can't just be inactive for a year...or can I?

And the Number One Reason Afternoon Church Sucks...drum roll please!
Because of the "no nap" taken by Laney, she spontaneously has this great idea to put my cell phone in her pretty pink potty chair and then PEE on it.  And then she tells me about it a way too cheery voice.  Like I would be proud of her or something.  15 minutes later...she is asleep.

That's right folks...don't expect me to answer your phone call unless it is an emergency for the next 2 weeks until I am up for my new phone.  Good timing right?  Although a picture would have been great, you can understand why I didn't take time to take a snapshot of this moment.

Sorry for all of the sarcasm.  I do like church.  I am just really T.O.'d about my phone. :(
Gggrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
