The Birthday Boy!

We never really did anything big for the girls for their first birthday. I feel guilty about that now because it was SO MUCH FUN making it a big deal.
Even if he won't remember it, we have pictures to prove it. :)

He got so many cool toys! Definitely spoiled. Drums, and trucks, and blocks, and even a basketball hoop! We are stocked up on boy toys now. He loves crawling through things, and I think he will love his new tube from Grammy!

He even tried a little smack at the pinata!

I don't know who had more fun. The kids beating the pinata to a pulp...
or Josh swinging the pinata around everywhere and teasing the kids.

When it finally broke, it was candy warfare.

What is a party with out a little "weird" mixed in?

Singing Happy Birthday to Crew was so much fun.
He was a little scared, but clapped at the end.
And he loved his cupcake!

If you are ever bored, and need something to do. Just blow up some balloons and see what comes of them. We got quite creative.

Happy birthday Crew! We love you!

Our Big Boy!

This tiny little boy bundle has had his first birthday!

It baffles me that it has been an entire year since the day he came so fast.
I am thankful for so many things, including a camera that I have been able to use to document all of the fun and cute things I would have definitely forgotten by now.

Here he is getting bigger month by month...
(up to 9 months because after that it was way to hard to make him sit still)

And here is our big 1 year old boy!!!

I think all of us have had so much fun having a tiny boy to spend time with every day.
We still love that he acts and breathes like a puppy.
Crew is taking steps, and will be walking soon, so watch out!
He loves to look through books, and chase balls around the floor.
He LOVES food, and his mama. :) Mama's boy.
Crew is the most ticklish person I know.
He points his toes when he is sitting.
He loves music and loves to dance to it!

We all love him so much,
Happy Birthday Crew Boy!

Zoo Day!

Kylie and Mike came down this last weekend to visit. We have talked about going to the zoo so many times, and we finally did it together! Even Grammy and Nick and Josh came along. It was Sky's first trip to the zoo, and she loved it! She kept saying "more more!" And she looked so stylish in her new sunglasses. ;)

Laney by her favorite animal, the Alligator.
I think she likes them because they remind her of her dinosaurs.

Kadie made a monkey and a bat penny with Grammy's quarters.
Thanks Grammy!

Laney used her money to buy an ice cream sandwich and then shared it with her sister.
Laney sharing on camera...can't get better than that!

Nick and Josh contemplated jumping over the fence to the Lion exhibit.

Grammy helped Laney find the Lion!

Cute little cousins aren't they?
Thanks for a good time everyone!

Almost made it...

We almost made it an entire year without Crew being dressed up like a Princess by his twirly girl sisters. Poor little Crew boy, but still...isn't he cute? Princess Crew.

He loved his pretty outfit. Reminded me of a little kitten playing with a string. :)

Kadie had a little bit too much fun using Crew as a doll.

Laney had fun, until I wanted to take a picture of her.

Laney! I promise I won't take any more pictures, come back and play!
(She came back once I turned the camera off).

Kadie also discovered if she stuffs her pants she can dance and twirl faster and stronger because it doesn't hurt when she falls! Kadie...you are a genius!
And she gets her poising skills from her Dad. :)

Kadie doesn't mind me taking pictures of her at all. :)

Ducky!

We had some short term neighbors move in last week. They were so easy, they slept on the lawn, and they only wanted bread crumbs to eat! They were around for about 3 days.

Mr. Duck was protective of Mrs. Duck.
When Laney moved closer, he would move in front of the Mrs.

We miss having them around. It was fun while it lasted. :)

We had a Happy Easter

This Easter was unique, because it was the same weekend as general conference.
I was a little nervous thinking about last year in our little apartment with two girls, one pregnant mom, and one overworked dad watching old people talk on TV. It was a little stressful last year.

This year we incorporated crafts during the sessions! We dyed Easter Eggs, made fancy hats, and colored primary pages with the general authorities pictures. We even went for a bike ride in between morning and afternoon blocks. The girls had a good time and I think the only complaint we heard really was that we didn't boil enough eggs. :)

We had to do some boy-themed eggs for Crew boy. How did we get that truck on the egg?

We just used stickers! It was so easy, and fun to peel them off and see the picture underneath.

We hope you had a happy Easter! We gained some wonderful insight and heard great testimony of our Savior. It was so rewarding to hear the girls talk about Jesus. Kadie even noticed the telephone poles outside look like the cross he was nailed to. Nothing sweeter than a simple testimony of a child.
