Crew's Blessing Weekend: Day 1

Kadie, Laney and Crew have two cousins.  Morgan who is almost a year old is Josh's brothers daughter.  And Skylar who is 7 months, is my sister Kylie's daughter.
These two cute little girls met this weekend!  They loved the company of another tiny person, and eve looked like they could be related. :)

We took the family to Rock City up on Mount Diablo to get out and have some good times.
Here are Morgan, Cade, Kadie Laney and some weird guy...wait, is that Josh?

Here are all of the good looking couples!
Josh and I, Spencer and Deb, Jake and Andrea and Morgan, Kylie Mike and Skylar,
and Stefanie and Justin.

Here is the whole Waldron Family (below), minus Sam who couldn't make it.  I guess he wanted to visit his girlfriend in stead of hang out with us...
Don't you wish you would have come Sam and taken a picture by the big Rock?

We tried to do a silly picture.
For some reason Kadie, Debbie and I are the only ones pulling a weird face.

We even saw some wild animals up there!

And a two-headed Leisa Monster!

Me with my sista's Morgan and Kylie, and Laney of course. :)

Kadie was brave hiking up all of the biggest rocks with Daddy!

At the end of it all, the babies all fell asleep on the way home.

All for Crew

This last weekend we blessed our little Crew.
Family came from far and wide just for this handsome little man.

More pictures to follow soon!

Open House

Kadie had her school's open house last Thursday night.  Josh was picking his parents up at the airport so it was me flying solo with the three kids.  But we all made it to the school safe and with no major obstacles!  It was so much fun to see all of her progress throughout the year, and the things that she was excited to show Laney and I.

Her favorite thing to show us were the tadpoles turning into frogs that she has been excited about for the last month!

"This is a Froglet mom...a frog-let, because it isn't a whole frog yet."

Look below and tell me if you can tell which of the six drawings on the wall is a self portrait of our very own Kadie.

If you picked this drawing you win a brand new...???

Laney helped show off Kadie's things in the classroom.

Kadie also became an author this year!  She wrote her own book of stories that her teacher compiled and bound together to keep as a treasure for years to come.  Her bio is as follows:

My name is Kadie Waldron.  I am 6 years old.  I have blue eyes, white skin and blond hair.  I live with my mom, dad, sister and baby brother.  My favorite color is purple.  My favorite food is pizza.

In Writer's Workshop I learned how to write a lot and use periods.  When I started as an author I couldn't write words but now I can write lots of words.  My advice to new authors is to use periods and stretch out words.

We of course, even found time to make some silly faces. :)

Kadie's teacher, Mrs. Young, is one of the most amazing teachers I have ever met.  She is a mother, and I think that is why she has such a wonderful relationship with each and every child.  I feel like she got to know Kadie so well this year, and I am so thankful that Kadie could have a teacher that loves her.  We will miss Mrs. Young and Kadie's Kindergarten class.
It has been a great first year of school, I can hardly believe it is almost over!

Itty Bitty Chubby

It appears that Crew is in the beginning stages of chubby.
The kind that you can't help but squeeze and kiss and grit your teeth it-is-so-cute chub.

The Double Chin Chub

The Tiny Thigh Chub

The Froggy Tummy Chub

Of course the ultimate goal will be the Michelin Man Chub.
Caution: these chubby attributes are really only cute on babies.

Oh Chloe...

Josh and I went to a stand-up Comedy show last night with my parents at Punch-Line.
Mary Lynn Rajskub was performing.  Many of you know her as
Chloe O'Brian from NBC's 24.  We love Chloe and are always making fun of her strange attitude.  We were wondering what she would be like in person.  NOTHING like Chloe...more like a cute, bubbly and very strange run in with an old friend.  Plus she is so pretty in real life without the scowling and furrowed brow.

Her comedy was more of a story-telling style, and she was so funny.  She made fun of Fergie for peeing her pants and talked about birthing and baby stories of her little baby boy.  I think I was laughing the loudest when she made fun of her baby getting drunk off her "booby milk".  It was so funny because it is so true!  People probably wondered why I was laughing so hard.

It was fun to go into the city and do something different for a date night.  Thanks mom and dad for a fun night!  And thank you Morgan and Cade for watching the kiddo's!

Shelter Cove...family style

Family of FIVE to be exact.
The trip to Shelter Cove took a little longer than normal with a newborn, but it was so good to spend the weekend together relaxing before Josh headed back to work and we entered real life again.  We started out at the beach.  The weather was absolutely perfect.

Laney was a little afraid of the loud waves...
Alex lended her a hand, or body. :)

Daddy helped Laney fight those fears by throwing rocks at the naughty waves.
She showed them.  They washed right away back into the ocean every time she threw a rock at them.  She thought that was pretty cool.  But, they kept coming back.

"Bye Bye Waves!"

Thanks Daddy, mwaaah!

Kadie and Laney found their own little wading pool filled with hermit crabs and more rocks!

This picture is to prove that we found a swimming suit to fit Laney's bum.  No wedgie!

Big Josh, Nick and Laney crab hunting.

What the ...!?!...
Is that me (Leisa)?  I am exsistent?  Whew...I was getting worried.  It has been a rare occasion for me to be spotted on the blog, but that may change.
Josh loves the new lense he got me for our anniversary almost as much as me!

Okay...don't push it Leisa.

I want you Josh...to stop taking weird pictures of me. :)

That's better.

We watched little planes fly in and out all day.

I don't know who looks more amazing in the picture.  Me or Alex?  You decide.

Look how cute.  Daddy and his baby Crew, sitting in the shade.

Kadie the rock climber, even in a swimming suit.

Little did we know that a perfect afternoon at the beach would turn into tragedy!
Look at what happened to poor Kadie's back.

We kept Crew under an umbrella the ENTIRE time, and after we got home, we realized he looked like a large tomato because he had been roasting for three hours in the shade.  I guess it is a good idea to get a UV protected umbrella.  Poor baby!
Laney didn't get sun burned.

It was a fun filled weekend, with fun filled people and great weather and we can't wait to get back.  Thanks Grammy/Mama and Papa G!
