New Creations!

Lately I have been BUSY - with kids, pregnancy and jewelry making!  I think it may be because I can feel my free time coming to a closure in the near future.  Maybe not completely...but more than likely I will feel it get shorter.  With my excitement for my new baby to arrive, I have been wanting to be productive.

That being said...go to The Silver Loft to see my new items, and new pictures that I will continue adding for the next week or so.

Please let me know what you think!

Inauguration Day

Barack Obama is now our president.  The fact that I cried when I say George Bush hugging people goodbye, and Barack Obama hugging people in the welcome of his presidency, I will blame on my pregnancy hormones.  It really was amazing seeing the hundreds of THOUSANDS of people gathered in the celebration of democracy.  I wish that I could have been there with that excitement and emotion in the air that you can't quite feel from the television.

Watching the prayers and the proud mention of God made me so thankful to live in this country.  It wasn't even only our country watching this today.  Children were up until midnight at schools in outher countries watching on television!  The whole world was watching.  And Aretha Frankin's rendition of "My Country Tis of Thee" was my favorite part.  I cried again.  I truly hope that this year will be as exciting and successful as everyone is optimistic for it to be.  It was amazing to watch history in the making...something we can talk with our children and grandchildren for years to come.

The sensitive one...

If you know Kadie well at all, you know that she is full of drama and tears.  She is often goofy and fun...but more than often "sensitive" about certain issues.  Especially when it comes to religion and our family.

Story 1:
Family home evening.  Josh is talking about Moses and the people who have been in the wilderness for 40 years who are being bitten by snakes.  All they have to do is look at the snake Moses made to live.

Josh: "Do you know what the snake that Moses made in this story represents Kadie?"
Kadie (timid): "uh...Jeeessussssssssss?"
(Josh and I think "Right on Kadie"!)
Josh: Yes!  So it is an example of us looking to the Savior and when we follow him we will be able to live with our family forever."
Josh and I both look over and Kadie has her head turned toward the pillow on the sofa and is sobbing.
Kadie: "I heard this story before okay!"
Me: "Kadie what's wrong?"
Kadie: "I'm sorry I won't live with our family forever because I do too many bad things!"

For a split second I screen my brain to make sure that I didn't say something stupid like that when she did do something "naughty".  Nope...I for sure wouldn't say something like that!

So Josh and I reassured her that she will definitely live with us forever because 1) no one is perfect...that is why Jesus died for us, and 2) Kadie ALWAYS feels bad immediately and tells on herself.  And then she tries harder.  :)

This is not the first time she had cried about this.  I am thinking she probably had a lesson in church that was a little intense for a 6 year old.

Story 2:
At school, on the blacktop waiting for Kadie's teacher to come and take her class inside.

I usually have to chase Laney around, or at least keep an eye on where she is at until Kadie's teacher comes.  But I noticed that Kadie yelled at little boy "M" and started crying.

me: "Kadie what was that all about?!?"
Kadie: "M doesn't believe that he is a real prince!   Waaaaa!"  (No seriously, she was crying really loud).
Me: "Shhh, Kadie it's okay.  Not every one believes the same things, don't worry about it"

After school on the way home

Me: "So did you and "M" have a good rest of the day, or did you get in an argument again?"
Kadie: "It's fine mom, because when "M" dies, Heavenly Father will tell him he is a real prince.  Plus I asked Mrs. Y- if I was a real princess, and she said yes.  So...she already knows about everything from church."

Her teacher isn't a member...but I am sure she hears a lot of interesting things from Kadie.  I think that Kadie is my sensitive one. :)

The Waldron Siblings:
Left to Right: Jake, Josh, Stefanie, Spencer, Sam
I don't think I mentioned that Kadie got glasses right before Christmas Break!
This is a great shot of her cute "Ariel" glasses that she chose out herself.

Debbie called these next shots the "OutLaws",
because we are all the spouses ...and we usually cause a lot of trouble. :)

Debbie Waldron:  Thank you for getting the family all dressed and at the beach at the same time.  It was a rare occasion to have us all there, awake and happy and willing to smile!  I Love our family pictures. :)

Waldron Family Vacation

The Waldron family (Josh's parents, his 4 bro's, sister and their spouses) went to Southern California to celebrate the new year in warmth.  The first Night was Christmas all over again!  We did the family gift exchange, and the two girly girls definitely benefited from it most. :)  Next to that, I think Grandpa Leon was super excited for his new Jacket!

Sunday we did the church thing at an alien ward...which is always fun with Laney. :)
Later that evening we took a stroll on the beach, it was a little chilly, but fun and beautiful just the same.

Here is Laney with her Uncle Spencer.  Spencer and Laney are like two peas in a pod!
Debbie with Jake and Andrea's little baby girl, our new little niece Morgan.
Laney was really scared of the loud ocean.  So all pictures of her this night were of her crying.
This is Josh giving her a kiss.

We all went to Knott's Berry Farm the following Monday and rode some coasters and ate some yummy treats!

The girls got to go get pedicures a few hours before the men had a game of golf!  I think this should and will become a regular thing. :)  Kadie's little fingers and toes were sporting some festive pink flowers that you can't see in the picture, but were really cute (top right two little feet).

We took family pictures as well thanks to my sister in law Debbie who had the great idea of taking shots at the beach in Corona Del Mar.  Stay tuned for some fun shots!

Christmas Morning

Christmas Morning was so much fun.  I just love how the girls hair is all messed up, and they are rubbing their eyes like what they see isn't really there.

Josh and I thought for sure that the girls would be up around 5:30 or 6:00.  So at 6:20 I shot up in bed!  Josh said "what"? and I looked at the clock and said "OH, it is 6:20, the girls slept in a little."  Then I laid back down just in time to see Kadie wander past our bedroom.

Moments later she was at the bedside shaking us telling us Santa had come.

We had a hard time waking Laney up.  We sat her up in bed, and she fell over.  We rolled her onto her back and she rolled back onto her tummy.  But there was no stopping Kadie from getting things rolling.  We finally carried Laney out to the family room, and she woke up when she heard how excited Kadie was.

Only one melt down from Laney about the last present being Kadie's to unwrap.
We will remember that next year. :)

Christmas Eve

Whenever we are in town, we start our Holiday Celebrations Christmas Eve with my family for the sibling gift exchange.  For the past couple of years though...it has turned into the open everything from each other exchange.  I think Kadie likes it that way. :)

We made lots and lots of treats and decorated sugar cookies.  (And a big giant sprinkle mess - sorry mom).  In the end Alex won the contest of best cookie because she put "presents" under her cookie tree.  First place Alex!

We all had fun opening gifts from each other.  Nick and Josh started a nurf gun war later that night with their findings.  I took lots of pictures with my new lens covers.  Josh is prepared now to cook food on a propane grill when we go camping and the girls played with a new train set!

Grammy got a new knife set and a gift card to a great restaurant...and Papa G got some space heaters!!!

Laney ended with night like usual with no pants and playing with Duke. :)

It was a very Merry Christmas Eve!
