It had been about 5 months since we last went to Shelter Cove! We were missing it, so we took Friday for ourselves (no work or school) and headed up last weekend to hang out by the sea. :)
Friday November 6th
TEA PARTY!!!
Kadie's favorite...
Especially when paired with REAL tea cups and
home made Madeleine's from aunt Morgan.

We asked the deer to join us but they declined.
Something about not being able to hold the tea cups with their hooves?
Whatever.

We showed the girls how to keep their pinkies in the air.

Construction Project
Next we were off to the housing project on Blue Ridge drive.
Crew was loving being outside so much despite the colder weather.

Morgan and Cade got a sweet deal as newlyweds to live in the Shaker house while the BlueRidge house is being built. This is Cade way up on the rooftop!
Can I go back in time and live by the beach while my hubby works minutes away?

BEACH
Next we were off to the beach!
Luckily the rain in the forecast subsided for most of our trip,
But there was a surf advisory that record breaking waves of 26-28 feet would be seen!
It was fun to see the waves and feel a little splash now and then.

Morgan and Laney got chased down by a sneaky wave.

Laney found the usual weird things. No crabs or starfish this time around.
The tide pools were absent due to the large waves and high tide.
