The Big Day: Morgan & Cade's Ring Ceremony and Reception

{ring} Ceremony
The day was cooling down, and the view was amazing. I really wish that Josh and I could have done something like this at my reception. It was so sweet to hear what they wanted to say to each other. And there was an enormous group of friends from the climbing gym that came to the ring ceremony. It was so touching to see that many people there showing support.

Hi-five down the isle...love it!

Now this is the sassy goofy couple I know!

Laney couldn't help but put her toes in the pool. :)

The ladies hard at work preparing food!

Cutting the Cake
The sun caught the bride and groom and their cake just right...

Pay special attention to the bottom left picture in this collage (below).
Someone is hiding close by to snatch the first piece!

Let her eat Cake...
for goodness sake!

Shoes...
{Grammy's shoes}
I heard these referred to as the "cougar of the bride" shoes more than once. :)

Laney did her own investigating through the night to find her right pair.

She chose my shoes. :)

Over all, it was a great day. We caught up on time spent away from family members and didn't worry about too much else than food and keeping Morgan and Cade happy. It brought back a lot of memories of Josh and I being married. Especially at the temple in the heat. I am so happy for you Morgan and Cade!
Congratulations, and now you are officially "Uncle" Cade!
We Love You Two!

The Big Day: Temple and Luncheon

The Temple
Morgan and Cade were married August 29, 2009
In the Oakland, California LDS Temple

These little things made Morgan's dress her own.
Her funky bracelet, beautiful bouquet (she made it herself) and her adorable ankle boots.

Kadie confiscated my bouquet.

We put Kadie to work holding up Morgan's dress. She loved it.

Of course I had to chase Laney down a couple of times between pictures.

She is fast but I caught her!

Laney and Sky baby.
As you can tell, Morgan's colors were Black and White with Turquoise accessories.
Between moving to a new place, and school starting, I barely managed to finish the girls dresses two nights before the wedding.

The Yummy Luncheon
Held at our favorite Chinese restaurant in Orinda
The Mandarin Flower

This is my mom saying...
"Where's my diet coke?!?!"
then...
"Oh, there it is!"

FYI - I think we cleaned them out of diet coke between my mom, me, Big Josh and Kadie. :)

I made sure to bring something for the girls to do in case we had to wait around for people before we dug in. Laney colored every bit of her spider man page!

Even the little man enjoyed himself...and he even tried some sticky rice!

Speedy Gonzales

Today Kadie won a race against three other girls and two boys.
She thought it was the coolest thing.

Talented

I cheated and stole pictures of my sisters wedding from the photographers! :)

Pictures by Mandi...

Doesn't Morgan look beautiful?

I am putting this one below of the sisters in a frame for sure!

This is totally Morgan and Cade...being casual and silly.

Pictures by Whitney...

I love this picture with Laney!

Ah hem...the little man is single ladies. :)

Josh and I hardly have any pictures together, so I will have to frame this one too!

My grandma Laney

My outfit!

The temple. I Love this shot!

Definitely some talent oozing...
