Chuck E Cheese's...Where a kid can be a kid!

This year, my mind is never fully awake.  Sadly, my kids are affected by that negatively sometimes.  For instance, nothing was planned for Crew's big day until the night before.  Luckily Chuck E Cheese was where he wanted to go, so really we were just making his dreams come true!

Here are some pictures of the fun night!

My favorite thing about the birthday celebration?
Crew following Chuck E around trying to give him a Hi-five,  then "sharing" his coins with the giant mouse.  I am pretty sure that last time he saw Chuck E., Crew was scared to death.  So it was more than cute that he was trying to give him some of his limited tokens to play games with.

See below...Chuck E trying to figure out what to do with the tokens Crew gave him.
I snatched them back and put them in Crew's cup before another kid took them.

Daddy Josh came straight from work to get some whack-a-mole bonding time in with his birthday boy!

Happy Birthday Crew!  We love you, our big 4 year old boy!

4 years old

4 years ago in April, these were our kids.

And thanks to some amazing pictures taken by Whitney :)
I can show off how big and handsome our first baby boy has become.

CREW

He is a charmer, isn't he ladies?

I can hardly believe he is 4!
My favorite things about Crew are hard to pin down, there are so many.
Mostly, I love how much he loves everyone and always tells them.
Every day he tells me he loves me, and that I am cute.

He asked what sexy meant a week or so ago, and I told him it meant cute.
He told me again right after that, "Mom, you are cute"

Sometimes he just. can't. help. himself.  You will say no, he hears no, but he just doesn't want to believe it.
He tries really hard to obey, but sometimes if candy is involved...
he just can't. help. himself!

He has a smile that makes you smile back.

He loves to snuggle, more than our girls ever did.

Crew loves interaction and has since he was a tiny little thing.

Crew loves to play Would you Rather, and I-spy in the car on the way to preschool.

He really is the mini version of his Dad.

Crew LOVES "Maney", and I mean loves her.
They play so well together, but Laney thinks he is her son.
She refers to him and "honey" and "sweetie" more than Crew.

Crew looks just like Kadie.  I love that I can look at him and think back at when she was his age.
Lot's of de javu people. :)

Crew is my buddy.  He loves to do anything with me, and he is truly excited about it.  I just might cry when he goes to Kindergarten because I won't have my lovey dovey cheerleader at home as much.

We love you sooooo much Crewser!

Happy 4 years old!!!

Love,
Dad, Mom, Kadie, Laney and Leo

Happy Birthday Laney!

I can hardly believe it has been 7 years since this little girl came into our lives.

I think that I have more "stories" about Laney than any of my other kids, and with good reason.  She has kept us movin' and shakin' since day one.  I didn't know true frustration or joy until I met this little spunk of a girl.  With her in my life, I have learned to enjoy every minute.  She is one of the sweetest most thoughtful little girls I have ever known.  I can tell she will be a good mother because of the way she is with her little brothers.  She thought Crew was her baby when he was born, and now she claims Leo. :)  She can't stand to let little Leo cry.  I love how Crew is her sidekick and she refers to him as "sweetie" or "honey" more than "Crew".

Laney is enthusiastic about learning and will keep trying and trying to learn something if she thinks it to be important.  That being said, she is also cautious...and takes her time.  She still rides a bike with training wheels because "I have my whole life to learn to ride my bike, mom".  She also has had the same loose tooth for 6 months because she thinks it will fall out on its own.

Laney is hilarious without even trying.  Yesterday she told me she didn't want to turn 8 after this birthday.  8 meant next she will get baptized and she doesn't want to drown.  I have so many funny stories about Laney and I love each one, and tell them to people often. :)

Happy Birthday Laney.  We love you so much and are so happy to be your parents.  Thank you for all the joy you bring us!

Christmas has come early...

Christmas came early this year for us!!!

Leo James Waldron
Born 12-12-12 at 4:55 am
7 lbs 6 oz     20 inches long

Our little Leo was due Christmas Day,
but after a long 10 days of early labor, he was brought into the world on
December 12, 2012.
His Daddy is very proud of the 12-12-12 birthday!

We are all so in love with this little man!

This pregnancy was definitely the most challenging for me, which in turn probably meant more challenging for the whole family.  It was the pregnancy that made me understand why women always complain about pregnancy!  It was also the pregnancy I worried more about my health and the baby.  I went to the hospital 2 times thinking he would be born, only to be sent home still in labor and so disappointed   I am so happy that there were no major complications and he was born healthy and happy and so darn cute!

I am taking a chance and posting pictures I would normally (because I know I don't look that great).
I know I will want to look back and feel the emotion of that day, giving birth to our youngest child.
He will be the baby of the family forever, and the other kids have eased him right into that role.
They are spoiling him with hugs and kisses and so much love.

It was such an emotional birth for me.  Right before he was born Josh and I looked at each other and I cried "It's our last baby," with tears running down my face.  My doctor in return asked if I wanted to prolong labor and take a few more hours.  That made me laugh but also gave me a burst of energy to meet our baby boy.

20 minutes of pushing (because he was bigger than our other babies...) and he was here.

Here he is!  Our handsome little Leo.
Having a tiny sweet newborn around is so much better than being pregnant. :)

After he was born I ended up back in the hospital for some minor treatments.
It was so hard to be separated from my tiny baby, kids at home and husband.
We are all at home anxiously awaiting Christmas which will be here in 7 days!

Merry Christmas!
