Girly Boy

The influence of sisters...

Josh doesn't like these pictures of Crew very much. But I love them... a big mess and a tutu.
You can see the influence of Kadie and Laney at the same time!

Just make a guess who influenced which?

Wicked!

Kylie and Mike came into town, and were going to see Wicked!
We couldn't pass up an invitation, and Kadie loved it. She now wants a Wizard of Oz themed birthday party, and has been singing along to "Popular".

Kadie didn't quite know what to think of the Bart being so full. We had to stand the whole time there. She kept sitting on the floor and I had to coax her into standing back up with talks of bugs and germs. Kind of low of me since she is a germaphobe, but seriously it was gross.

I should have taken pictures of dinner before. Kadie's kiddie burger was larger than any of our adult sized portions. The manager felt so bad for us that she gave those of us that ordered ravioli a little extra food. Maybe she noticed we devoured our food fast and the bread was almost gone. It was really funny. :)

She also stepped over my motherly rules and told Kadie she could have her ice cream without eating any more of her dinner. I guess I was okay with it since she gave me extra Ravioli's.

Aw, Kyker and Mike. So cute. :)

Thanks for going with me Kadie and staying up until 11:00 like a big girl!!!
It was so much fun to spend time together and do something different just the two of us. :)

End of Year party!

My friend Darlene throws the BEST party's.
She went all out for an end of year bash in honor of her daughters.
There was face painting, craft making, food eating and water balloon throwing!

The parents were smart to push the kids outside first...
Then we shut the door for the water balloon fight. :)

Thanks for a good time like always Darlene!

Last Day of School!

It was a bumpy start to the school year, but Laney made it through with flying colors!
Miss Lori is more than a preschool teacher, she is my guru when it comes to overcoming obstacles. She showed Laney so much more than letters and numbers, and I would say I learned a whole lot from her too. Thank you Miss Lori!

Laney and her favorite classmate Alyssa!

Kadie's last day was the same day as Laney's. It was a happy day to realize all she has learned in First grade from Mrs Young who was also her Kindergarten teacher. It was a sad day as well to realize that Kadie won't have her as a teacher next year. After two years with Miss Lori in preschool, it was so great to have her spend 2 years with Mrs. Young. We seriously have been so blessed with amazing teachers in our kids lives!

Now it is off to have a Happy Summer!
We now have a Second Grader and a Pre-Kindergartener!
We are getting so old. :)

Alpine Utah

Since we were in Utah already we had to go hang out with my Grandparents! We had so much fun that we decided to stay an extra day. Someday we just might make it to Utah as a planned vacation and be able stay a little longer. It is always like we have never left. :)

Right away, Josh and Paco got the trampoline set up for the summer!

Paco took us up to the "P". The girls didn't waste any time and were sliding down it immediately. Crew even took a few turns. :)

Crew took a real liking to Paco, just like all of the grand kids do.
He really has a way with tiny people.

Laney found herself a pet rock, and it is now adorning Grandma and Paco's yard!

I didn't get a good picture of how many dandelions there really were. The girls probably could have picked them and made wishes ALL day, there were that many!

Josh showed the girls a thing or two on the trampoline!

Crew LOVED being outside all day everyday. :)

Crew really loved Grandma too, and she just soaked it right up. She hates competing with Paco because he usually wins the grand kids over with the Mule or the lawnmower.
I think that our kids love them both equally. :)

Now that In-n-Out is in Utah, we had to go!
You don't know an In-n-Out fan until you have met my Grandpa!

COUSINS!!!

BIGGEST NEWS OF THE WEEKEND!!!
Laney pooped and pooped and pooped in the TOILET!
It was the most amazing feeling to not have to "watch" for the poop face and rush her to the bathroom. Although, Laney still made us all look at her accomplishments before she flushed them down.

Thanks for showing us a good time like always Grandma and Paco!
We miss you and love you and hope to see you again soon!

Memorial Day Weekend

The original plan was to have the whole Waldron clan come and visit here like every Memorial Day weekend, but plans changes with Grandma Morgan passing away. It worked out so amazing for all of us to go to Utah instead, and it was so great to see the entire family. All but one cousin were able to come, and who knows when we will all be together like that again? It was a bittersweet weekend filled with family and fun times, but also missing the company of Grandma. We met at her apartment across from Temple Square many times, and it was definitely different with out her there.

Here are Crew and "Baby Morgan" who isn't such a baby anymore!

Crew loved Kassidy, isn't she a cutie?
Kadie thought it was so cool that she has glasses just like her.

There was a viewing held the night before. I wished I could have snapped a picture of Grandma's tap dancing group that all showed up in costume out of respect. It was the most awesome thing.

Funny Laney Story
At grandma's apartment one night we were there, Laney ventured into the hall. Grandma's building was right across from the Temple, and so there were many retired and elderly men and women that lived there out of convenience. From the other room I hear...
Laney - "Are you Dead"?
Elderly woman - "No dear...not yet".
Laney - "But, you're not dead"?
Elderly woman - "I don't believe so dear".

Laney then RAN through the door...
"Kadie Kadie! Grandma with the white hair isn't dead! She is here, she is out there"!
She was pointing out the door, and indeed the elderly woman did have white hair.

We all thought that Grandma would have thought it was funny. :)

The next day was the funeral. Kadie spent the first hour we were there making a book to bury with grandma. This is the only picture I got of her making the book. It was filled with drawings of her and grandma and each page had a special message of "I will see you again" or "I will miss you". It made you tear up just to read it.

All of the children spoke, and they told funny stories and we heard a lot of Grandma's earlier years too! It really was a celebration of a life well lived. Josh and his cousin Travis gave the life sketch and they did such a wonderful job.

The whole Morgan extended Family.
Daughters, Sons, grandchildren, cousins, and spouses and all!

After the funeral, most of the family traveled up to Bear Lake where Grandma's body was to be buried next to her true love Wayne. We didn't dare take our kids in the car again for many hours, so we went to temple square and visited with my Grandma Laney!

Laney is holding (below) a tiny glad box that she chose from Grandma's house. Each of the kids was able to choose something they really wanted as a keepsake, or as our girls would call their "treasures". She still carries it everywhere with her.

Kadie and my cute Grandma Laney.
It was fun to visit with her and hear her adorable giggle.
Grandma Laney has the most amazing memory of anyone I know. She always knows the scoop on everyone and remembers everyone birthdays! I think she has somewhere between 35-40 great grandchildren now!

The next day we all ventured to Nate and Jannie's for Porters birthday celebration.

I think the Waldron boys were getting burnt out!

The last night we all went back to Grandma Morgans apartment. Josh's Aunt Cinda pulled out a suitcase FILLED with wigs and hats and costumes of Grandma's. We all tried on hats and wigs and had some good laughs. I think we all agree that Crew looks better as a boy!

Overall, it was a great weekend filled with good times and family that we can't wait to see again.
We truly love and miss you Grandma Morgan. I think that we all want to make you proud.
