Let SIX be a SLOW year

Kadie Nicole Waldron is now SIX YEARS OLD! I can not believe that Kadie is six! I mean, seriously...SIX?

This year she will embark on the adventure of elementary school, where friends are made and mean kids are avoided. Except I am afraid Kadie will not avoid them, but try to take matters into her own hands.

She will probably learn to ride a bike without training wheels, and learn to read real books! I just hope that time slows down a little...but deep down I know it will just speed up. I hope that she has a lot of time to experience discovery and accomplishment, and maybe we can keep the disappointments and heart aches to a minimum. I really just hope that there are not many mean kids. I hate mean kids!

My favorite stories/things about Kadie:

Baby: No hair. I remember always having a bow on Kadie's head, and telling people that I was so glad that my baby had hair. Then when I looked back at pictures, I realized she had NO HAIR. And people obviously thought I was crazy. I also miss Kadie's kickstand crawl, she crawled with one foot and one knee...and some people were concerned. But she turned out just fine!

One year old: Kadie making me breakfast. She was more like 1 and 1/2, and we got her this tiny kitchen for Christmas. Every morning when she woke up she would come in my room and tap me saying "Bet-Test". So I would fall out of bed, and follow her into her room where she would make me scrumptious plastic food.

Two years old: going to Marine World, (now Discovery Kingdom). Kadie had a serious lisp at that age, and all morning kept saying "Eh-fant go pee peese" over and over. So finally we thought, well maybe we should take her to the Elephant show. We got a seat right up front, and when the trainer had the HUGE Elephant sit right in front of us, we thought we had the best seats in the house! Until the HUGE Elephant got up and let out a disgustingly GINORMOUS amount of pee, all over! Luckily I was fast to grab Kadie and jump out of the way. She just clapped and said "Eh-fant go pee peeeeeese!"

Three years old, Kadie discovers purses. She had been carrying around "little" things in her hands since she could walk, and now she has a place to put them. I LOVE that she always has a purse with her, filled with little things - although I don't like when the little things get lost and I have to try to find them. So purses are my friend.

Four years old: The girly girl. This was the princess year, anything and everything. She knew that her favorite color was definitely purple and NOT black. She was such a great sister to Laney, and claimed that she taught Laney to crawl and walk. This was the year of her discovering her hidden talent of singing as well. One day on the way home from church, Kadie was singing a song she made up. It took Josh and I a couple of minutes to realize she was singing "No body buckled me uuuuuuuuuuuup!" in a beautiful ballad. So we stopped the car off the road and buckled her right up cracking up about it.

Five years old: Kadie discovers boys. Her favorite friends are ALL BOYS. Brock, Gavin, Colby and Cole. She has excellent taste, and I hope she ends up with any of those 4 boys in the future. I think she has her eyes on Gavin. :)

Six years old: I can tell this will be a year with a little bit of sass. She already asked me today if she looked like she was six. I said "You totally look like you are six Kadie! Why? Do you feel like you are six?" She smiled and said "Totally."

We love you Kadie, and we are so proud of you! You are such a great sister to Laney, and you have such a fun personality. Keep up the creativity and the quirkiness. Happy Birthday you six-year-old you!
